SHOWER FOR MOLLY

Molly, Mommy and Dada feel very blessed from the outpouring of gifts, food, and moral support that everyone has offered for Molly. A very special group of friends hosted a special shower for us this past Sunday.

When I left my previous job for my current position, I was already fully into the adoption process. Many of them know how long we struggled to become pregnant and remember all those doctor’s appointments when we were so hopeful during the in vitro attempts. It is wonderful to see that God did have plan all along. It is only fitting that we be able to celebrate the positive outcome of a long journey. I have known many of these friends for as many as twenty years. It is hard to believe that our careers exceed that now. It was hard leaving them when I left the downtown area. But I still talk to them and our paths do cross, just not as much as I would prefer.

It meant a lot to share this special time of celebration with friends that mean so much to me. Never take for granted strong women in your life that you can lean on. I have leaned on you over the past several years. Having someone to talk to at lunch is priceless. I love and miss you guys.
