Barb I've just discovered your journal of your journey to Malia and wanted to send you both a great big CONGRATULATIONS!  Malia is a gorgeous little girl, her smiles really are incredible.  I'm a bit of an adoption-blog-journal junkie but this is one of the few times I've been moved enough to send a message.  I really enjoyed your writing and of course the pictures.  May you and your daughter have an incredible happy, healthy and loving life together.  You both are so lucky to finally be family.

Hello Barb, Malia, and Tanner,
I had lunch yesterday with Dee and heard about Malia.  I really enjoyed looking at your web site.  Congratulations and please remember to enjoy Malia's childhood.  It goes so fast.
Blessings on all 3 of you.

Spring at last!  Fewer than 50 school days to go!  And are Barb and Malia coming to stay with us this summer?  We're hoping you will!  Love, Jim and Carolyn and all

I just learned that Brea - a special needs child whose parents were a part of our group in China - is in REAL need of prayer as she is currently on a ventilator and fighting for her life! I have put the link here for friends to learn more about Brea and her dear family!

What a blessing she must be for you!  She is so lovely to look at and just hearing your descriptions of her personality made everything seem like I was right there with you.  Blessings to you both.  I leave on the 23rd of this month to pick up our two year old daughter.  I will think on all you have shared as I get to know my little one.  Thank you.

Dear Barb,

I was so touched by your lovely journal, photos, and of course, your daughter Malia.  I am an adoptive mother of another beautiful little girl who is from Jiangxi province.  My daughter Tara Ming Hua is now 5 years old.  It will be our 4th Gotcha Day this March 23rd but it seems like yesterday.  I have been reading lots of the journals lately.  I guess I just want to go back to China and experience this all over again.

I so enjoyed your journal.  I can tell you have a lot of love to give.

Thanks for sharing.

Barb~

What a beautiful little girl!  She seems so happy and comfortable in her new home and with you...the bonding time really has worked.  I especially dig the extensive wardrobe the two of you have planned...so cute and adorable.  Keep smiling my dear friend and enjoy every minute Malia brings to life.

Love ya~

Bev

As my husband and I wait for our travel arrangements to pick up our darling daughter from China, I was browsing some sights and came upon your story. What a beautiful journey and beautiful daughter!!
I realized pretty quickly that we must live in the same area of Indy! We are in the Irvington area also (near Comm East). Ironically, there is another couple in the Irvington area we have met that are heading to China for their forever daughter also. In fact, we will be in the same travel group, our daughters are in the same orphanage and will soon be living in the same neighborhood!
Your daughter is'nt much older than ours. How funny if they all 3 ended up in school together??
I will most likely use the Personal Adoption site you have used. Watch for Piper LeeAnne!
Take care and congrats to you both!
