WE’VE ARRIVED
We have arrived in Hong Kong with all of our travel companions.
There
are five families in our group. We all are so grateful to be off
of the
plane and one step closer to our daughters. We all met in Newark
Saturday afternoon. We had about a half hour or so to chat
before
boarding our long flight, 15 and a half hours to be exact.
Once we arrived our cheerful, funny guide Ben met us and quickly
brought us to our hotel and briefed us on tomorrows events. He
brought
along his beautiful girls, Sabina and Theresa who quickly made
friends
with Grace. Grace is the daughter of one of the families in our
travel
group. Aren’t they cute? Tomorrow there will be five more girls
added
to our extended travel family. I hope we all sleep well tonight
in
anticipation of this wonderful day.
Before bed we walked outside of the airport hotel to get a
glimpse of
Hong Kong and the night sky. It is steamy and hot here with no
stars
visible due to the humidity. It is beautiful anyway, but we
didn’t
linger long. We are very tired and excited to meet Ju-lie Grace
tomorrow.
Matthew and Mitchell, we have tucked you in prayer as we flew
across
the ocean. We prayed that God would keep you safe and warm your
hearts
in our absence. We miss you already and can’t wait to come home
and
share all our stories about the wonderful adventure to get your
baby
sister. We love you very much.
PRAISES: a safe, uneventful flight, good friends to accompany
us on
this journey, family and friends to watch over our boys and Dad
while
we are away.
PRAYERS: that tomorrow’s flight will be safe and uneventful as
today’s
and that our daughters are healthy and begin adjusting to their
new
families.
FUN NOTE OF THE DAY:
For breakfast today we ate at a dinner in the Newark
airport. While
eating we couldn’t help but hear the gentlemen at the
table next to
us
discussing their recent band gigs. After a bit, and trying
not to be
too obvious checking them out; we noticed that they are
the band,
Blood, Sweat and Tears. Matthew, I know that you don’t
recognize this
name but they hit their heyday during the 70’s, it was
cool! |
