PASSPORTS, PAPERWORK
AND PACKING, OH MY!!
Today was largely a business and quiet day for all in our group.
Many
of the babies made breakthroughs and parents are smiling
proudly. On
the other hand, we’re all a little weary of being confined to
the
hotel
room here in Hefei. The White Swan in Guangzhou where we are
going next
has a children’s play room where all babies can congregate and
cut
loose. We have truly enjoyed our time here and it will be sad to
leave
our daughters home province behind.
The babies all received their passports today and can travel
now. We
filled out all of the paper work that will be needed in
Guangzhou, what
a chore that was! As in all things though, we were blessed with
some
further information about our Chun Xue during her first days.
However,
we have chosen to keep it as information she can share if and
when
ready.
Today during breakfast and lunch our little one has shown her
mischievous side mentioned in her referral. While I was
distracted and
talking with one of the other Moms; she grabbed my juice glass
and
flung it all over the seat, floor and our feet. What a stinker
she is!
Later on, during lunch she began waving. But not to Mommy or
Daddy but
to a young male waiter. He was quite smitten with those almond
eyes and
that sweet smile. Again, we’ve got so much to learn, but oh so
sweet.
This afternoon our guide Cindy was nice enough to venture out to
the
jewelry store with me and assist in choosing a gift for our
sweetie
from her home province, Anhui. I chose a beautiful piece of jade
jewelry. It is a necklace on a red cord in the shape of a dog.
She was
born in the Year of the Dog, so we thought this would be a most
appropriate gift for her when she is older and can appreciate
it.
Since we have not taken any photos today, we decided to share a
glimpse
of life here in Hefei as we sadly depart.
PRAYERS: For safe travel to
Guangzhou, for paperwork to be accepted
without delays, for the babies as they receive their medical
exams. For
our sons and Dad’s safety while we are away. That all parents
remain
healthy and well rested.
PRAISES: Debbie and Elizabeth have bounced back and are
full steam
ahead. Ju-lie is well, her cough is slowly disappearing. No more
rattle
in the chest. AMEN. For a successful internet connection that is
our
lifeline to home and to create this journal. For the blessing of
the
Fron family who has so lovingly cared for our son , Mitchell in
our
absence. Thank you just isn’t enough. All thanks and praise to
our
Lord
and Savior, Jesus Christ for these precious days. |
