Newest Update on Our Referral Process
Since my last post we have watched the progress that the CCAA is making with matching children and waiting families. It has since become clear that we will be waiting beyond November to receive our referral. This is much longer than we anticipated, of course, but we have no options other than pray and wait. Our prayers lately have been for patience and peace during this delay. We are frequently in contact with other families via the Internet who are waiting just like us. Sharing our thoughts with others who truly understand, along with our faith in God is what’s keeping us grounded. So, when we come to mind please take a moment and pray for us and for Ju-lie.

Dearest Ju-lie Grace, The last time I wrote to you it was summertime and we thought that in early winter we’d be traveling to China to hold you for the first time. Since then we’ve learned that it is going to be longer than we thought. I don’t know how we would endure this long wait without knowing our Heavenly Father is in perfect control of this situation and we just need to lean on Him. It gives us such comfort knowing that He has a perfect plan for you and for us. In His time we will meet and become a family. Until then, we are keeping busy with life as we know it; all the while saying “When Ju-lie is here…”, or “The next time we do this we can share it with Ju-lie!” Not a day or even an hour goes by that you are not in our plans, our dreams and our prayers. I only wish I could reach across the ocean and hold you and kiss your tender cheek, just once so we’d know you are safe and so you can feel how much we love you. You too, have your own trials to bear and my Mothers’ heart aches at the thought of it. But please be certain, my sweet baby girl, that as soon as we can, we will be at your side. In the time between, we continue to wrap you in prayer. May God bless you and keep you safe, till we become your Mommy and Daddy. Sending you a Sky-full of Love, Mommy, Daddy, Matthew and Mitchell
