Hello from Tennessee! I don't know you, but I have friends that are adopting a boy from Guatemala and have been researching websites for them. I stumbled upon yours and couldn't help becoming so interesting in your story. Your website is great and very informative - I will keep in mind what I have learned about China & Guatemala when my husband and I are ready to adopt ourselves! Thanks for inspiring a stranger!

I am so happy (and a little jealous) :-) of ya'll. (yes, I'm from Louisiana) Our LID for China is 9/29/06, so we may be traveling with you. We also have biological boys Conner (7) and Ben (3) but I have always "craved" a girl and this is the route that we have choosen! We are naming her Ava and she cannot get here fast enough. We are definitely staying logged in in China , but I am just now starting to poke around about other countries for a possible 2nd daughter. Not sure yet, but your story was amazing and a possitive blessing to read! Congratulations....and good luck! Angela & Skipper DeRouen

Hello! We were logged into China May 15, 2006. I am curious, as we wish to adopt two children also, and didn't think we could until we brought our first baby home. As you know China is very slow & we really don't want to wait. I would love to talk to you about how you are able to do both. My husband has been researching attorneys & we've been trying to find a way to make it all happen quicker. If you could give me any feedback it would be awesome! Please email me at cliette@woh.rr.com if you feel comfortable. You could also call me if that is better 937/667-0900. My name is Cheryl Liette. I am sooo excited after reading your info!

Lance, Rachel, Tyler, and Trevor, Thanks for writing me back, Rachel. We did not receive an e-mail from you with pictures. So, I've enjoyed looking through your website. We hope your trip was all that you wanted it to be. I have a bag of goodies for Taylor sitting right here beside me. Now all that needs to be done is taking it to the UPS Store for shipping. What size clothes is she wearing now? I bought her a 9 month size . . . hopefully that will work. I won't keep you any longer. Take care. Love you all, Uncle Keith and Aunt Jane

Hi, Let me introduce myself. I'm Freddie Remza, the author of a book that was recently published called "The Journey to Mei." It's a story told from a ten year old child's perspective as her family goes through the process to adopt a baby from China. I have found that many of the children's literature available on this topic is in the form of picture books for the younger child. This book is written for children ages 8 thru 12 and is meant to be another resource parents could use as their adopted daughter matures. It is also a book the child's siblings, cousins, neighbors, and friends can read not only to understand the adoption process, but to foster an appreciation for the Chinese culture and its traditions. You can check out my book on my website http://outskirtspress.com/thejourneytomei "The Journey to Mei" is available in both paperback and hardcopy on Amazon.com. Part of my research for this story took me to China for a month. I found this country to be especially intriguing and the people very friendly. It's my hope to spread what I learned and experienced on to others with hopes all of America's Chinese daughters are raised with the pride of knowing who they are. Hope all is well with your family and my congratulations! I am sure all the frustrations of waiting faded once you held your new baby! She certainly is an adorable child. Rachel, I have a post from our agency on how to help with the new news out of Guatemala. If you post it on your site I'm sure hundreds of people would help with letters and calls to both goverments. You can e-mail me at heubleina@hotmail.com and I'll pass it along. Praying for you, Heidi (journey to Lulu)
