WHITE SWAN FINALLY!
We are here in Guangzhou at the beautiful White Swan Hotel. We
have such good memories of being here with our whole family back
in 2006. The room looks just like the room we stayed in before.
I remember giving Sammy her first bath in the sink. We love it
here. The only thing that would make it better is if all our
kids were here with us. Being away from them is the hardest part
of the trip by far.
We said goodbye to Jenny in Taiyuan. We weren’t sure how Adam
would do on the flight. This was his first plane ride. He fell
asleep shortly after take-off and slept for about an hour. He
woke up ate his rice and was content until we started to
descend. He got very nervous during our landing and cried silent
tears. It was a rough landing as there was a very low deck which
made for a bumpy ride. We could not see the ground until we were
just about on it.
After we were on the ground he was back to his happy, playful
self. I just can’t believe how easy this kid is.
To Stephen, C.J. , Audrey Kate,
and Samantha:
Hang in there. We are down to our last week. You are all doing
great and Sam you are being so brave. You guys are the best and
one day Adam will know the sacrifice you made so we could bring
him home. Enjoy this time with your grandparents and try not to
wear them out! Start planning the super bowl party for the 7th.
We will all be together then! I wonder if Adam will like to
watch football like we do?
We love you,
Mom and Dad
PS- Our dear friends Doug and Joy Huber (and Sarah Mei) land in
Charlotte tonight at 9:50 from China via Chicago. When we
arrived at the White Swan they had left the most beautiful red
roses in our room to welcome us. Isn’t that so nice? We love you
guys! Enjoy your homecoming.
