THE LORD'S DAY

So what do you do on a Sunday in China? You go to church. Our group met this morning and headed to church on Shamian Island. It was a protestant church in both Chinese and English. It was a nice service. The youth choir was really good. Adam was very good during the service.

We had another low key day. We ate lunch in our room. Then our group had a tour to a Jade and Pearl market. It was hot and honestly everything starts to look the same after awhile. We were able to get some of the requested gifts but there are no Jade Pandas ( you know who you are). They only carve animals of the Chinese zodiac so our guide told us. Who knew?

Our dinner last night at Cow and Bridge was excellent and yes Richard, we had France Bread and were missing our original travel mates the Lanes.

I just can't get used to how happy Adam is. Everyone in our group comments on how happy he is. He has the most genuine laugh. It makes everyone smile. The other funny thing is almost everyone, both Chinese and American, thinks he is a girl. Isn't that funny? He looks and acts like a boy to us.

Tomorrow morning we have our medical appointment. We are a bit nervous about this but we trust God to bring us through this and see us home. I still say this boy is healthy. He acts like he feels great all the time. If they hadn't told us he was sick you would never know it.

Thank you for you prayers for his appointment tomorrow.

Good night from China!

To our kiddos at home- Did you have fun playing in the snow? We love you and miss you. We are counting down these last six days.
