HOME!!!
Wow...............what a trip. After 3 days in the airport
grinder we are finally home. Typhoons,
wildfires in California, random security checks on our 6 year
old, huge immigration lines, customs
troubles................. you name it, we had it. The good news
is that once we got to Denver we
had a support crew. A Huge Thank You to Dustin and Kindra for
letting us stay at their house in
Denver. Thanks for putting up with us! Also a Special Thanks to
Grandma Valda, Grandma Karen and
Grandpa Howard for getting dinner for the worn out travelers.
After 30 plus hours awake, we
needed your help!
Amalie was sick this morning. When we got back to Spokane, she
got sick again in the car. We
stopped and ate lunch at Moon's Mongolian Grill. Amalie
surprised us and got down some rice and
then started to perk up. She ate some tomatoes and that seemed
to calm her stomach down. Maybe
tomatoes are like pineapple juice...at least for Amalie. She
slept like a rock on the drive home
to Kettle Falls. Thanks to Nick, Grandma Val and Grandpa Bob for
all your help getting us home
from the airport. Thanks to Ali for the clothes and book! I
would like to also thank Nick again
for doing a WONDERFUL job running the wood shop and taking care
of our animals, home, etc while we
were gone. We have some demanding cabinet customers. They are
all happy! Thanks Nick...........
we couldn't have done it without you!
Amalie went CRAZY when we got home!! She was sooooooo happy. She
was running all over the house
chattering and giggling. I think she's glad to be done with all
those planes! She seems to love
the fact that she's meeting all the people in the photo book we
sent her at the orphanage. I don't
think I've seen her happier than she was for the afternoon hours
here at home. The only sadness
came at bed time. I think she wanted to stay up all night
playing!! By the way, she asked where
all the kids are from her book. I think she is excited to meet
her friends soon.
Time for the T and the B to CRASH!!!
Finally........................ a soft bed!!
All our Best
Ted, Brandy and Amalie
P.S. We will be taking Amalie to Spokane and Seattle on July 1,
2 & 3 to check out her hearing
challenges and for a complete development and medical workup. We
will post again after we have the
results so you all know what we find out about her ears. Talk to
you in a week or so...Bye...

spirit and connects to all important people who will enter the
child’s life. As the child grows, the threads shorten, bringing
closer those people who are destined to be together.” ~Chinese
