Why adopt again?
|
Luke has been praying every night for about 2 years for a
little brother. He frequently asked if there was a brother
somewhere without a mom and dad that needed a family.
We have continued to pray about if we were to add more
children to our family. God has continued to call us to
adopt. We really felt that we have room in our home and
our hearts…what reason do we have not to adopt again. Oh
yes…money! For this adoption we will be doing some
fundraising to bring Andrew home. We know that since God
called us to adopt he will provide the funds to bring
Andrew home. If you would like to help us contribute to
our adoption expenses you can do so through Kingdom Kids
Adoption Ministry at

Please put our name (Ronsman) in the designation box.
As we prayed to God about this adoption we asked, “if you
want us to do this then he will need to be in Beijing and
have minor special needs.” I wanted Beijing because I will
likely travel alone this time and I wanted to be in a
place where enough English was spoken and there are some
familiar foods. Also after being sick most of the last
trip…access to Western medical care. Also, minor special
needs, just because managing Nora and Lily’s doctor’s
appointments in addition to working is a juggle sometimes.
God provided a son with no special needs, in Shanghai
(better than Beijing because it has all the advantages of
Beijing but I haven’t been there before). So, we step
forward in joy and faith.
This adoption is about more than adding one more child to
our family…it is about more hugs and kisses, more T-ball
and skinned knees, more dandelion flower bouquets, more
nights being woken because of bad dreams, one more face
around the table to share “best, worst and most grateful
thing” every day, it is more birthdays and graduations. It
is about watching another child grow into the person that
God destined them to be.
Every adoption has caused our faith to increase
exponentially. He has taught us to trust him and to follow
his will…even when we don’t completely understand. We look
forward to seeing where this great adventure from God
leads. |
