Pretty Panda Parlor

It’s pure pandemonium in this pretty panda parlor. Plenty of pandas and a proud Pekingese patiently await the arrival of their new little playmate! The panda painting was created by PaPa Sam!

For my little friends:

Here are some wonderful books that we will soon be reading:

Ruby’s Wish
Shirin Yim Bridges

The Red Blanket
Eliza Thomas

The Red Thread
Ed Young

Pi-shu The Little Panda
John Butler

One Is a Drummer
Roseanne Thong

The Tale of the Mandarin Ducks
Katherine Paterson

Tai Shan
the panda cub at the National Zoo in Washington, D.C. was born two days after my application to adopt was accepted… July 9th, 2005.
To see this adorable panda cub in action you can view the panda cam which can be found
here.

Trivia: Giant pandas are black and white bears that live in bamboo forests in central China. Pandas are the best recognized but rarest animal in the world and now symbolize endangered species and conservation efforts.

New black eyed cuddly panda cubs arrive almost monthly at the Panda Parlor (see below)! They are nestled in a cozy crib adorned with purple and pink butterflies woven on a new comforter set! Ray G. Strobel wrote a book entitled, A Black Eye Isn’t the End of the World. It states the “Panda Principles” and highlights thoughts for living a better life. Here is an excerpt from it…“Look under the fur. Perhaps if, like pandas we all looked alike, we would be less tempted to spend time analyzing the outsides of others. We would just focus on the more important parts “under the fur,” where all the good stuff hides.”
