In China
All Days  |  Previous Day  |  Next Day

Wow, I do have to share that time is moving quickly! Before we know it, we'll be home. I know I'll miss China . . . it is such an incredible culture to experience, and I'm trying to soak in what I can during our short time here. Granted, we're living on snacks from home, Lucy's french fries and Pappa John's!

Today was a nice "free" day, meaning that we had no official business or tours. We lingered at breakfast, enjoying the view of the Pearl River. After that we showed Gramma B and Pappa more of the hotel, inside and around the grounds as well. Next was another visit to the Swan Room to give Anna Kate time to play and crawl. Each day she seems stronger and more active! Today she was her most animated, babbling away and entertaining us with her many faces and "tricks" - - she loves to clap, click her tongue, shake her head, blow raspberries, and wave. She is a great imitator! I think she's a sharp little girl . . . tonight we were watching an athletic even on t.v. and they showed a coach clapping - - so Anna Kate starting clapping too!

After her nap she ate her favorite food - the congee from Lucy's - and then we played and relaxed. Adrienne got in a quick swim with Zoe, but it was interrupted by rain - - most afternoons or evenings it rains. After dinner (Pappa John's pizza!) Gramma B and I took a walk around the island with Anna Kate. It is so beautiful here at night.

We have a fun day planned for tomorrow, so time for me to call it a night. We miss Joe SO much!! Anna Kate adored him and I can't wait to see her face light up when she sees him again.

Thank you so much for your prayers . . . they have surely been answered.

Sending love from China,

Jennifer

Hmmm . . . that's not a crib!
