Saturday, January 23, 2010 WE'RE HOME !! Hello Everyone ! Sorry for not posting sooner, but we've been traveling, and tired ! Our last night in China we went on a dinner cruise on the Pearl River with our new friends and it was a beautiful evening and we had a nice time ! The next morning we finished our packing to head home. It was a bittersweet departure for us - we had a really great experience on this journey - all the people we met were wonderful ! It was time to get home- and it was a long trip home. We traveled by train to Hong Kong and spent the night in HK and our flight was the next day to Newark. Our hotel was connected to airport, so the next morning we just walked through the tunnel and checked-in. We had breakfast before we boarded the plane. The flight was full ! We saw another adoptive family on our flight that was staying at the White Swan; it was nice to see a friendly face! Our flight was about 16 hours, it felt very long (as it was) and we finally arrived in Newark at 2pm and got home at 7pm. We arrived to family and friends waiting for us at home, waiting for Ava, and it was so wonderful to see everyone! It made the homecoming extra special ! It made us feel special, it made Ava's homecoming feel extra special ! There were balloons, flowers, and home-made lasagna, which was fantastic- we were hungry. The final piece of our travel journey ended so beautiful and we thank our friends and family for welcoming us with open arms and love!
