It has almost been 1 year since our Gotcha day on January 11,
2010....but since we are not at that anniversary date
yet....we'll fill you in on the last few months !
In October we were busy with Halloween, pumpkin picking, the
fall, and friends! Enjoy the pictures !
November marked our first Thanksgiving, and Ava moving full time
to the Y - to 4 days a week. She also got her first little
report card - we've been told she is the Mayor of the classroom
- LOL....For a little girl who was shy and quiet, she is really
coming into her own - she does not seem so pensive as she had
been...she laughs so much more and smiles so much more too which
makes us really happy ! ....It took a while, but I think she has
adjusted well, and she is talking up a storm and her new word is
"Why" (!). We are still working on potty training and we haven't
really succeeded on that or her sleeping in her own bed.
December brings the festive holiday season and we have been busy
with some parties; we are talking about Santa, Elves,
Snow....She doesn't seem too impressed, or interested with the
beautiful Christmas tree... we had her first photo session and
she didn't smile, so we had them re-done hoping she would
produce some smiles - which she did the second time around !
We have another visit with the Cardiologist on January 3rd,
2011...she has had another growth spurt - so I hope that means
her VSD has closed a bit more in the last few months- which is
what we are hoping, and praying for !
Sadly, we lost our dog, Taz this week. It has been a big loss
for me as my little guy and I have been together for 14 years;
he was fine one day...then the next day he wasn't. It is quite
sad, and I dedicate this Update to Him. "Thank you Taz for being
the best little doggie ever, a great cuddle love-bug, and my
buddy through thick and thin for 14 years. You are already
missed.." |
