We're Home

It is hard to believe that that our last post was on September 15th! It is Halloween night and all four kids are sound asleep, in their beds. As I sit here writing this, I feel so blessed to have four precious children.

We have been so busy the past month. Ava is really becoming her own little person. She is adjusting so well. Since the day we arrived home from China, it has been non-stop in the Wubbolding household! Luke and Griffin just finished up their fall sports and Jack has his first basketball game tomorrow. We enrolled Ava in a preschool gymnastics class. She had her first class this week. I was a little nervous not knowing how she would do in a group of six children that she did not know. She was great! She caught on right away and it was so cute watching her do her somersaults! I couldn’t stop smiling, watching her interact with the other little girls. It is just so hard to believe that a little over a month ago, she was in China.

We have had many fun events this past month. We had a family reunion, birthday parties, J.T.’s papaw turned 90 this month, Ava’s baptism, Halloween parties and many sporting events. Ava has been great. We have had many visitors and she is doing so well with them. She is really beginning to open up to others.

There are many things that Ava loves. She loves her baby dolls, taking a bubble bath, eating popcorn before bed and playing with her brothers! She makes us laugh every day. She has really started to pick up English more and more. She repeats everything that we say.

It has been such a joy watching her experience things for the first time. She loved the pumpkin patch, playing in the leaves, carving pumpkins and trick or treating! I can’t wait for the months ahead with the holidays right around the corner.

Our days are busy but I would not change it for the world. I think back to two years ago and wondering how this would all turn out and I count my blessings every day. Ava is such a blessing and the boys are doing so well. They are the best big brothers.

Be sure to check back next month. I am going to keep posting monthly. We are looking forward to the holidays and Ava’s first Christmas with us.
