Avery's room used to be our guest
room. (We love having guests so please know that you are always
welcome...we will find a "new" place for you!)
We have been busy these last couple of months transforming this
room into our little girl's room!! We love the panda and
butterfly theme and hope she will too!!
In mid August, we had asked Avery's foster family some questions
(through our agency). In doing so, we learned that Avery has
been sleeping in the same bed as her foster parents. So, we are
planning on having her sleep in a "big girl bed" right away
while we take turns sleeping on a pop-up trundle next to her
during the transition period. Matthew and Ethan plan on taking
turns sleeping next to her too!
The dressers are Tera's from her childhood and are still in
beautiful condition! We look forward to discovering Avery's
interests so that we can fill her shelves with books and other
decorative items!
UPDATE: After we
met Avery and saw how active she was, we decided that Avery
would be safer in a crib. Shortly after arriving home from
China, we assembled our crib but still kept up her twin bed.
Mommy and Daddy took turns sleeping on the twin bed in her room
while Avery slept safely and comfortably in her crib. It worked
out very well! Avery now sleeps very soundly in her crib and we
sleep comfortably in our own bed as well! |
