We arrived safely. It was a very
long flight. I never knew a person could feel like a sardine,
but we sure did. 16 hours in an airplane! The plane was big but
not as big as I thought it would be.
God in His infinite wisdom and grace brought us through, and
just like God he always has a plan. Sitting next to us on the
airplane was an Asian woman and her five year old son with Downs
syndrome. We immediately bonded with them. We were able to
answer a lot of questions for her, as her journey with Chris was
in its infancy. The other great thing, is they live in the
United states, so we exchanged business cards, and she spoke and
read Chinese. This was great for us, because we were finally
able to get Hannah's medical information sheets read. So we
found out that Hannah does sleep all night, but only if she is
fed well. So I guess our little Hannah takes after her big
sister who was the same way. We also were able to find out what
her shot record said.
Today is March 5 over in China but is the end of the day of
March 4 for you. We will spend today with our guide who is
taking us to see the Lost City, and the Great Wall of China. If
there is time we will visit a government owned silk shop. At any
rate it will be a 12 hour excursion. We have already seen many
families who already have there little girls. These families are
from all over the place. And check this out prayer team---The
first families we saw with their new little adopted babies spoke
French and were from France. God always has a sense of humor. We
are enjoying meeting everyone, but realize how truly blessed we
are to live in the United States.
Talk to you tomorrow. Guess what tomorrow is? Its GET HANNAH
DAY!! We fly out again, in the morning, and will be getting her.
Church pray for us, as you will be in church and we will be in
the airplane again, on our way to Changsha, where we will
finally meet our baby. God bless you all, and keep us in your
prayers as well as the country of China. |
