Hannah is finally home! She is adjusting to her new home and
people
have
been stopping by to see her. We got home Thursday night and
stopped at
Chili's in Tampa to celebrate being back. We've been resting up
the
last
two days and today Hannah went to church with us. Introducing
her to
our
church family was the final step in our journey home with
Hannah. Our
church is our spiritual family and our spiritual home. Hannah
was all
dressed up in her blue dress with white polka dots which matched
Kaitlyn's
dress and the drummer on the worship team's tie.
I preached on the spirit of adoption today. God has given us
such a
revelation of how great His love is for us through our
experience with
Hannah. It's hard to comprehend that God loves us more than we
even
love
her. Amazing.
You'll see pictures of us getting off the plane in Chicago with
Hannah
and
then on to Tampa. There is another picture where Hannah and I
fell
asleep
together on the couch.
The first few nights we were up a lot with her. She is still on
China
time.
Last night she woke up at 3:00 am and Pam and I laid on the
couch
together
while Hannah played, laughed, screamed and fought sleep.
It seems like she has always been ours. It's hard to imagine
life
without
her. Kristin has to go back to college tomorrow. Hannah will
miss
her. I
have to go back to work. We've already had several ministry
appointments.
Now life will return to normal and Hannah will be a big part of
that.
Everywhere we go Hannah brightens up the room with her smile.
She is a
very
special girl and we feel privileged to raise her.
