About Braxton

“Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand...” ~Psalm 139:16-18

JiMing is a cute, charming 2½ year old boy living in Xiamen City, Fujian, China. He was born in September of 2005. He spent his first year in the orphanage and then was loving placed in foster care where he would reside for the next two years of his life.

He is described as outgoing, active, clever, handsome, and restless. (We love these characteristics that describe him as we know that these very traits will enable help him to be a survivor, determined to be a finisher, and destined to be a part of our family that we call a team.) At 14 months of age, he could jump down from his bed. He is described as energetic and his favorite activity is climbing. (We find this to be very exciting to read as he was born with a congenital limb defect in his right leg and evidently he understands that “legs are overrated”.)

He likes other children (which is god as he will have six siblings). He likes to share,. He has a good appetite and likes to eat sweet fruit. He likes to imitate words and uses language functionally. He likes to talk and sing. He enjoys music and playing with toys. The orphanage wrote that they hope that he will be adopted and given the opportunity for an education and prosperity. They hope that he has a future of happiness.
