I got the call on September 16th from our agency, Great Wall China Adoption, about a 2yr old boy with a repaired cleft lip & palate that is in foster care. They wanted to know if we would like to review his medical file. We have waited so long to get that call, so I told her to definitely send it to us. It was in my e-mail box within 5 minutes. I cried when I saw his picture. I immediately called Aaron & told him to get home quickly. He also fell in love with his picture. We had 48hrs to make a decision. We had an international adoption clinic and our family physician review his file. They all gave us the go ahead. We called GWCA the next day & said to lock his file.

We then sent in our LOI (Letter of Intent) & waited for PA (Preapproval). GWCA said it would take 2wks, but we received it that next week on September 23rd! We then had to wait for the China Center of Adoption Affairs (CCAA) to review our dossier. This was averaging 75 days. We finally got the call from GWCA on our 78th day of waiting, December 10th that we got our LSC (Letter Seeking Confirmation) & we sent off our LOA (Letter of Acceptance) the next day. It is now set in stone that Zheng Sen will become Graysen Marcus Zheng!
