Come stop your crying, it will be all right
Just take my hand, hold it tight
I will protect you from all around you
I will be here don’t you cry

For one so small, you seem so strong
My arms will hold you keep you safe and warm
This bond between us cant be broken
I will be here don’t you cry

And you’ll be in my heart
Yes, you’ll be in my heart
From this day on
Now and forever more
You’ll be in my heart
No matter what they say
You’ll be here in my heart
Always

Why cant they understand the way we feel
They just don’t trust what they cant explain
I know were different but deep inside us
Were not that different at all
And you’ll be in my heart
Yes, you’ll be in my heart
From this day on
Now and forever more
You’ll be in my heart
No matter what they say
You’ll be here in my heart
Always – Phil Collins

UPDATED INFORMATION! (posted November 8, 2007)
Today we finally received our travel invitation to come to China and pick up our daughter. I am so excited that I have had to rewrite this note 3 times because of all the typo errors! If I have not found them all, please forgive me! We are now welcome to travel at any point, as long as an appointment can be made at the American Embassy in Guangzhou in order for Cecelia (by way of mom and dad) to take the oath of citizenship. We DO have the wedding in two weeks so at the moment we are planning to leave for China on/about December 1st. If this happens, we will return home on Cecelia's sister's 19th birthday! Happy birthday to Kaitlyn - you finally have a sister!

UPDATED INFORMATION! (posted October 29, 2007)
We received updated information and pictures on Cecelia today! She is growing so much! Her new information tells us that she now has 10 teeth, is just 20 pounds, and is 29 inches tall. I think from the pictures it is easy to say that it is definitely time for Cecelia Grace Zhifan to come home! For all of you who know us well, her little slippers with the Minnie Mouse are so fitting! We expect to hear in a week or two that we have our travel invitation. While most of the time this process feels a bit surreal, each time we receive a new photo or new information we really know we have daughter waiting on the other side of the world! Next step - we fly to you, our sweet little baby girl!

UPDATED INFORMATION! (posted October 22, 2007)
We received our LOA today after waiting for 112 days! The LOA is a letter from China called the "letter of acceptance". It is basically a letter from China, asking us, one more time if we truly want to adopt Xaio Zhi Fan. Is there any other answer but one: YES! YES! YES! The LOA goes back to China today and in two to four weeks we will receive our TA, which is travel approval; an invitation from China to come and get our daughter! We will then leave in approximately 3 days! The next gitch in this long and difficult process is that our son, Ryan, and his fiancee, Gillian, are getting married on November 24th! We are so excited about the wedding and also so excited about our baby! Please pray for us that the dates all work out! We are coming Cecelia!

UPDATED INFORMATION! (posted June 17, 2007)
Cecelia is now 16 months old and weighs 16 pounds. She is one tiny little girl! She crawls, but cannot walk yet. She will also not feed herself, and likes her bottle warm. She is known as the stubborn one, who likes to get her own way! (We think she fits right in to this family!) According to her report, the way to calm her down is to feed her and her favorite food is cake! She has no interest in toys, with the exception of dolls...I love this! Her new pictures and information make me yearn for the day we finally get to hold her even more!
