We're Home

Monday, December 17, 2007

We are home! We arrived in Syracuse at 5:30 Wednesday evening. Cecelia was fantastic on all of our flights...until the last 10 minutes of our final flight from JFK airport... but that was more than fine with us. We arrived to a little reception at the airport from a few of Cecelia's friends and her big brother Evan.

Cecelia has met all of her brothers and sisters and even ventured to her gramma and grampa's house. There she also met some cousins and aunts and uncles. She seemed to enjoy herself throughout all of it!

On Friday Cecelia went to see her pediatrician for that long suspected ear-infection, and sure enough...both ears! We are proud to say that she has already gained a half-pound from her medical check-up in China...she now weighs 18.1 pounds! She is the size of an 8-9 month old American child, but she will do well. Cecelia loves food; last night she enjoyed salmon, beets, and rice! The only thing she has rejected so far is yogurt. Not bad...

This weekend was spent decorating for CHRISTMAS and taking endless pictures of our sweet baby girl! She is a happy girl most of the time! We are struggling a bit with jetlag... Cecelia doesn't seem to want to sleep at all. We have been told to bring her out in the sunshine in order to help with this...well, if you know anything about Central New York in the winter you would know that is a next-to-impossible feat! Hopefully another week or two will help.

Enjoy the pictures. We will update this site one more time in the next few weeks and then we will switch to a blog. Stay tuned while our family has the time of our lives with our new baby girl!
