We arrived in LA, the shuttle over to international took 5
minutes we arrived there so fast we had to wait 30 minutes to
check in. Why’ll we waited we weighed our bag adjusted our
loads, we had two bags over 50 lbs. (not bad). The lady at the
check in counter was nice (she was English) she sent us down to
the international center where we could get a good meal before
boarding (3 hours later at 11:50pm) for Guangzhou.
We all feel great and know we are entering a culture shock but
feel fortunate to have this opportunity. Gage will never forget
this experience and I’m glad he will be able to share with his
sisters (three of them) Hannah, Grace and Lu Ju, (Chloe).
Day 1: It’s been a long day but a good day, we arrived in
Guangzhou 6:00 am and got through all customs no problems. The
airport is huge and clean the design and architecture was
amazing. We arrived in Beijing 30 minutes late thought we would
miss our ride but she was still waiting for us and one other
couple from Orlando, Florida.
Beijing is nice, big city with a lot of construction going in
preparation for 2008 Olympics. We arrived at the Hotel got
checked in okay, rooms are great people friendly. After we got
our stuff to the rooms we walked two blocks to the local market
to get a few things. Got back to the room, ordered room service,
something simple we’re not yet adventurous on the food side but
we did go out tonight to a Acrobat Show, so much fun, from the
crazy taxi ride to and from to the amazing talent, this show was
great a most do for all.
A bit of great news was waiting for us, we found out we will be
meeting Chloe a day earlier, we are so excited!!
Girls, we are thinking of you and counting the day until we get
home to you, we are going to the great wall tomorrow we will
post a picture if we can. Take care of each other and hug one
another for us, be good.
