CHLOE DAY!
Let me start at the beginning, we could not sleep we got up at
5:00 am and we just were so excited, we were to be down in the
lobby checked out ready to get on the bus to the airport to fly
to Nanchang. The whole group was bouncing off the wall not sure
of the days events. All went smooth, we got to the airport in
one peace (bus drivers and cabbies look out!) we all wanted to
get last pictures of Melinda and Sims.
We arrive in Nanchang about 2:00 pm Buses waiting (here we go
again!) got to hotel had time enough to freshen up and our new
guide Bruce had us all meet in lobby to get on another bus to go
meet and pick up our baby daughter. As we were driving I felt
calm and relaxed. When we arrived I was shock at how fast we got
there, soon we were rush in to a big building up to the 26th
floor to a room that had NO air conditioning (I think the heat
was on, it was that HOT) very uncomfortable! We walked in to
this room thinking they would call us one by one to see our
girls, but no they were all right there in the room waiting,
soon Bruce quickly called our names one by one we were first
Cook, we look at each other and knew this is that day so long
age we could only dream about, it was here and soon this day
will pass just like any other day….but wait, not just like any
day this day will always be remembered through document, nap
shots, video recording, tears of joy and happiness and many
specific heart felt prayer.
Well as fast as we got there we got back to our hotel and we
were on our own, no nanny, no instructions just flat get to it
care for this incredibly beautiful baby girl that is looking for
love in all directions, yes Hannah and Grace she is looking for
you and anyone that will find the time to love her, after all
that’s all anyone really needs is love (sounds like a Beatles
song).
Has I sit here taking the opportunity to right this post both
girls here are sleeping, Chloe is running a little fever, not
sure why and Crystal has had about enough for one day, looking
back it is so similar to child birth exhausting for mother and
child, dad just run better on empty, especially when it comes to
our girls.
I will end with this tonight, thanks to all those sending
messages through the website, it has been so nice to here your
thoughts as we continue the journey.
Love to all
P.S. Hannah and Grace your sister is so tiny, so cute I think
you guys will love her to peaces…just be careful she’s so small
we don’t want to run out of peaces. Love you both so very much,
we will call you soon, be good, keep the those prayers coming.
