What we
know!
Chinese Name: Lian Bao Lu
Soon to Be: Cora-Li Bao Lu
Birthday: March 25, 2006
Currently Residing at:
Lianjiang Welfare Institute,
Guangdong Province, China
New information:
We finally received the translated medical reports from our
agency and learned a little bit more about our precious baby.
She entered the Lianjiang Welfare Institute on March 26, 2006.
When she was found, she was wrapped in a red towel quilt and
lying in a box with milk powder and a nursing bottle. Red is the
color of luck in China. Her mom obviously cared for her very
much!
The report says she smiles when she sees somebody; she loves to
tease and be teased with her favorite toy called a “shake bell”,
and is not happy when you try to take her toys away. She makes
happy sounds, can climb (Oh no!), and turns her head when the
nanny calls her name. Her favorite activity is going outside in
the fresh air just like we do!
She gets up at 7:00 a.m. and takes two, thirty minute naps in
the late morning and afternoon. She’s doesn’t nap long just like
her big sister, Emma! She drinks milk powder (I’m thinking this
is Chinese formula.) and drinks fruit juice. She likes to eat
soft noodles. She has four teeth.
It appears that she is very healthy and loved greatly by her
nannies at the institute. We thank them for taking care of her
until we can be united with her on May 16th, which happens to be
my dear Pop-Pop’s birthday.
About her name:
We chose
the name Cora-Li because it is unique and has special
meaning. Cora is of Greek origin and means heart, maiden.
We chose Li because when we adopted Emma-Lin in September
of 2001, our liaison in China was a lovely lady named Mrs.
Li. She was strong-willed and determined. She made our
first trip to China a wonderful experience. |

It
matters not from where the gift comes,
but simply that it
is received.”
