I asked Emma what I should write about our family. After some time she replied, “I know what to say about our family. You should say we are love, and we are funny.” It couldn’t be said more simply.

One of the most important things to us is to spend time together each day. Preparing and eating dinner together is our favorite time of the day. It is a time to catch up on what happened while we spent our time at work and preschool. The love we have for one another is what keeps us going. Crafts, cooking, home projects, camping, gardening and enjoying the outdoors are some of the things we enjoy doing most.

As far as the funny part goes, I give my husband credit for keeping the humor in our lives. His ability to make us smile even in the toughest times is a special gift. To hear Emma’s giggle, reminds us to see the world through the eyes of a child. She is definitely a gift from God. We have been truly blessed and are about to blessed again with the arrival of Cora-Li.

Although, we have only included a few photos of our family, other family members who are dear to us and friends we consider as family have been an integral part of our adoption process. We thank all of you who have offered your love and support in so many ways during this long wait for Cora-Li.
