Trip to China

Friday, March 28, 2008 Today is our “Take-It-Easy” Day. We went for a morning stroll through downtown Beijing. The hardest part is crossing the street; no one stops for pedestrians. You have to be very quick and watch from all directions. As we were walking we past a church with a couple getting their wedding picture taken. We did find a KFC, a McDonald’s, and a Pizza Hut. However, we did not try any of them yet. I think we are going to order in pizza later tonight from the local Pizza Hut. Another family tried it and said it was pretty good. We have been so sleepy we have fallen asleep before dinner the last two nights. Then we wake up at about midnight wanting dinner, but we just wait for breakfast. On our walk we stopped in an art shop that had beautiful work. We purchased a fall scene of the Great Wall on rice paper, mounted on silk. All of the other families will be here by tonight. Tomorrow is a sight-seeing day and a meeting regarding the adoption process. Then on Sunday we fly to Gansu and meet Eva!
