Today was a blast! First the baby slept from 8:00pm-5:30 am!
Then they had really good food at breakfast (that is not always
the case). Then we went to the 5 Springs Park and Zoo. I don’t
think I described the area Evie is from we are right in the Gobi
Desert area with huge mountains surrounding the city. It is
breathtaking as you drive the streets. The 5 Springs Park was
beautiful. The park leads into the zoo. The zoo has a variety of
animals in it. We saw 2 panda bears today. I bought a stroller
yesterday and Evie slept almost all the way through park in it.
She did wake up to see some of the animals; however she was very
reserved and quiet. She just kept looking and looking.
After the zoo our group went to a restaurant to try the beef
noodles. This area of China is known for the beef noodles
because a lot of wheat is grown here to make the noodles. The
noodles were great, but so were the eggplant, beef, and green
tea. When you eat at a restaurant everything is brought out on a
big lazy susan and it is served family style. They bring out
about 10-15 different items and continue to bring them out. Evie
ate some of the eggs, rice, noodles, and potatoes. She tried to
eat the table cloth, but did not succeed!
When we returned to the hotel, the three of us had a fabulous
time playing. She really showed a comical side of her
personality. She laughed and laughed! It was the most fun she
has had. She loves to stand and hold to something and jump up
and down. She has about 6 teeth and loves to have her pacifier
almost all day long. All three of us laughed so much and played
with her doll. We can’t wait to bring her home. She is taking an
afternoon nap right now. She is a good little sleeper so far.
We are all having fun, feeling good, and can’t wait until April
10 when we come home! Miss everyone and Love you! |
