Today we stayed around the hotel to eat, shop, play, and rest.
Evie is still sleeping well through the night and is laughing
and smiling more each day. We all three went shopping around the
hotel. We bought some new toys to entertain her; however she
still likes a good old fashioned Sprite or water bottle.
For dinner we tried Lucy’s Diner. It is known for its good
Western food and American music. The music was good, however
they have not mastered the American cheeseburger yet; looks like
we will have to wait for the real thing. Papa John’s on the
other hand has excellent pizza in China.
There are several parks around the hotel. Many local people use
the park to exercise, socialize, and play games. Every time you
go by a park it is full of people of all ages doing some type of
activity.
Tomorrow is our last full day in China. We will be taking the
traditional group picture around the red couch at our hotel.
Every adoptive family who travels to the White Swan does this.
Then we will be going to the American Consulate to obtain Evie’s
Visa and take part in the oath ceremony. Our group will then
celebrate with a farewell dinner.
