Hi again everyone,

This entry will be to bring you all up to date about our last day in China and the trip back to Carolina. Our final day was filled with saying good bye to all the members of our group, checking out the beautiful parks in the Guangzhou area, and enduring the 4 1/2 hour bus ride to Hong Kong!

Our day began with the group photos of all of the families. We met some of the most precious families. These guys and girls will always have a special place in our hearts. The bond we all have is hard to describe, but will last a lifetime. As we finished the photos, Scott and his girls headed to a beautiful park, while Mama did the packing for Hong Kong.

The park was fun and full of new adventures for Graycee. The "little China Grandma Clothing Police" were out in full force at the park. These two older ladies approached Scott, scolded him for not having enough clothing on Graycee (remember, these guys believe in layering their babies with lots of clothing), and the ladies even assisted Scott in putting Graycee's sweater back on. That was really wild!

Once that event ended, we headed to the US Consulate, we took our oath to never harm or hurt Graycee. We received all of the "big-time important/do not open until you get to the US paperwork" and headed back to the hotel. Within 10 minutes of returning, we were on a bus to Hong Kong. What a wild ride it was for all of us. 4 1/2 hours on a bus was insane, but we made it ! We slept for a few hours, then off to the airport for our flight HOME.

As crazy as it sounds to think of having 3 children on a 16 hour flight from China to Carolina, it really went well. Graycee slept for maybe 6-8 hours of the 16 hour flight. The flight was filled with tight spaces, terrible airplane food, and many dreams of being home as soon as possible. Visions of family and friends brought us through the rough moments of our journey.

Even though we had to literally RUN through the Chicago airport to make our connection to South Carolina, it all ended well. We were greeted in Greenville at the airport by a group of amazing friends and family. Thank you again to everyone who welcomed us back. It was so good to be home and see happy and friendly faces. The blessings just continue to pour in.

As I close, please check out the April 7, 2009 tab at the top for an update on life at home with Graycee.

You all have been so faithful to check on us and share our journey. What a wonderful, rewarding, inspiring, motivational, heart-exploding, love-filled, God ordained trip we experienced! Thanks for sharing the journey. I say this from the bottom of my heart, our trip would not have been the same if you all had not been a part of it. Your words of encouragement, love, prayer, and motivation fed us the whole time! Blessings to you all!

Love,
Scott, Cindy, Katee, Lindsay, and Graycee
