It is hard to believe we will have been home 2 weeks now. Time flies when you are having fun! Where to begin..... Graycee is doing great! She is such a God-planned perfect fit for our family. In the last 2 weeks, she has adjusted to our food here in the US. This was quite an ordeal the first few days she was home. Now we seem to be settling in to more of a routine/schedule for our day.

Graycee loves to play with her sisters, her Daddy, and her toys. It is so neat to see her little personality just opening up more each day. She and the rest of our family have now got our days and nights straight. What a wild time that has been! We survived and now Graycee is sleeping around 11-12 hours a night. Plus a 1 1/2 - 2 hour nap each day. We are making steps of improvement each day.

As she meets new family members and friends, it is so nice to hear how our journey to bring Graycee into our family has impacted so many other lives. This little girl has a bight future with so much potential and hope ahead of her! I truly feel the best is yet to come.

As for Graycee's new discoveries:

-She is now a walking machine!

- She is cutting so many new teeth. She chews on her blanket so much to give her comfort for her gums.

- She is now saying: MaMa, BaBa (Daddy), JieJie (big sister), hey, thank you

- She absolutely loves music!

- She is warming up to strangers a little bit more.

- She loves to be outside, her stroller, and the park near our house.

- She loves a Green Tea Frapp. from Starbucks!

- She loves to wear shoes. I do not think she has ever had shoes before. This is something very special for her.

- She smiles, grins, and laughs a lot more.

- She is now experiencing her first cold/congestion/being sick. It is no fun, but she still tries to be happy even though she may not feel the greatest.

- Food she likes: goldfish, club crackers, cheerios, chicken noodle soup, rice, apple juice, sweet tea, propel, small pieces of hot dog, oranges, grapes

Please know that this smooth transition from China to Carolina has been possible because our whole family has worked together. Scott and I have 3 wonderful girls, but Katee and Lindsay have gone beyond the call of duty to help in so many ways. They truly love Graycee with all of their hearts. They give of themselves and give a little more when it is needed. They love to play with Graycee and entertain her when it is necessary. We knew this would be a change for our family, but we also know that even during the "bumps in the road", we would not have it any other way. Our family is better, stronger, closer, and more God-centered, because of this incredible journey.

Please stay in touch with us and let us know how you all are doing. I am going back and forth with the idea of doing a family blog to share with everyone. If I decide this is something I want to try, I will email you guys and give you the web address. Time will tell, but for now, I am grateful for a wonderful husband and three beautiful blessings from God that make my life a little more special each day.

Grace and peace to you all,

Scott, Cindy, Katee, Lindsay, and Graycee
