This past Tuesday we had Jenna Kate’s second cardiologist appointment since she has come home. The first appointment was in the beginning of December and it showed that her ASD was still present and had not closed at all from the time she was born. This past appointment showed that her ASD has almost closed on its own! What a blessing…Praise be to God for His grace! Dr. Su, who is a wonderful man, gave Jenna Kate the green light for any and all activities…she has a clean bill of health. What a happy surprise that news was! This sweet angel is such a busy bee these days! She continues to grow and change…..what a flower in constant blossom! We have had a great spring so far! The girls enjoyed not one but two amazing Easter Egg Hunts….Jenna Kate learned the art of the hunt in a heart beat! Claire had her 3rd birthday on April 1st…again we had multiple celebrations which both of the girls thoroughly enjoyed. We have also spent several afternoons at the park, the train and the zoo. Just the other week we met two other families from our adoption group at the Botanic Gardens for a picnic…it was so great to see just how far along these three girls have come….it is amazing to think that 6 months ago we were in China picking them up!!!! It is almost a surreal feeling looking at them. We are already counting the days until Nana’s pool is ready for swimming. The next update will be a splashy one!!!! Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of the families that are affected by the earthquake in China. The pain from that event is felt world wide. And also to Stephen Curtis Chapman’s family who is suffering an unimaginable loss. It sure makes me want to hug my girls a little tighter!
