April 2008

Hello and Happy Spring!

It's been awhile since we've updated this website, because unfortunately, there isn't alot to tell.

Slow and steady this adoption is going!! Ok, let me refresh everyone on how the process goes.

When our paperwork was sent to China, we were given a log-in-date or LID. That date is March 27, 2006. At the beginning of every month, China matches families with babies from one LID to another. Well, we know that wait is now at 27 months, and they have just matched up to Jan 9, 2006!! So what does that mean for us? We have 77 LID's to go!! That is good news, because we are getting so close, but they are going slow, so we are HOPING for our match (referral) by the end of the year. It could be earlier, it could be later, we just don't know. We just passed our 2 year mark 3/27/08.!

There are alot of factors affecting the wait, the main one being the Olympics, but I'd rather not get into that now.

Anyway, alot has happened in the last few months. My Grandma turned 90 in January! Dan and I went to Florida for the weekend for her party. It was a great time!

Daniel turned 18 in January. The college process is over (thank Goodness), and he will be going to James Madison University (in Virginia) this fall. I can't believe he will be in college when we get Jenny. He will still be coming with us for at least part of the trip. (I don't care what the teachers say!!)

Lacrosse season is in full swing, so he is keeping busy.

Dan is anxiously awaiting warmer weather for boating. We will be putting the boat in the water in just a few weeks.

Congratulations to Aunt Heather and Uncle Jules, who are expecting their first baby in Sept. We are so excited!! Jenny will have a cousin very close in age! See, all things happen for a reason I believe.

The room is still on hold, and the furniture still at Behrs. They will hold it as long as we'd like. It's been

there 13 months already, so I will probably have it delivered sometime this summer.

Well, keep praying for us, and that the Olympics don't slow us down even further! Our time will come, we are getting real close, and we are in it for the long haul!!!!

Imagine, Jenny may have been born already, and is already waiting for us.

Until next time, Happy Spring!!!!!
