Eli was born on October 23, 2007 in Anhui Province. He just turned two in October and is 85 cm tall. Eli has a good appetite eating mainly milk, soft rice, steamed eggs, noodles, and mashed vegetables or fruit. The last report states that he is an easy-going and happy little boy who plays well with other children. He is also close to his caretakers.

Eli has already had surgery to repair his lip but is still needing palate repair. His heart defect causes no symptoms, and he is reported to be a healthy little boy.

We are naming him Elijah Jiehao. Elijah, his first name, means Jehovah is God in Hebrew. We are keeping his Chinese name, Jiehao, as his middle name. According to one of his Chinese reports, Jie means that he would be supereminence with the hope that he would be an outstanding person in the future.
