She’s finally here!

We are thrilled to introduce our new daughter, Nariko Summer. Nariko was born on August 2, 2008, and is a healthy little girl. She weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces and was almost 20 inches long.

We received “the call” on August 7, 2008, from our wonderful adoption agency and we were both amazed at how much love we instantly had for Nariko. That phone call was one of the most incredible moments in our lives. We absolutely cannot wait to hold her in our arms for the first time.

Nariko is now at a loving caretaker’s home waiting for us to come pick her up in Tokyo. She is busy getting her passport made while mommy and daddy are busy filling out tons of immigration forms and working on obtaining Virginia’s pre-adoption approval.

These first three pictures are from when Nariko was just a few days old. We are so in love!
