The Nursery

I didn’t give you the gift of life, but in my heart I know
the love I feel is deep and real, as if it had been so
For us to have each other is like a dream come true!
No, I didn’t give you the gift of life, Life gave me the gift of you

For this child I have prayed, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him. 1 Samuel 1:27

We are still working on the nursery, it’s painted and we have her bedding. We just need to put the crib up and decorate the room. (I’m going to add a chandelier in her room and get rid of the ceiling fan – shhhh, don’t tell Vince.)

We do have a BUNCH of clothes for her already. She has more clothes already than both of the boys combined. I am very blessed with some good friends (Lori and Annie!) who have given me many clothes that their girls have out-grown. (I mean, these are some nice clothes!) I’m learning about all of the little girl clothes and the nice brands – never heard of Baby Lulu until now – but I’m getting educated very quickly!

We’ll post pictures of her nursery as soon as it is done – in the mean time, you can gaze at her closet like I do almost every day. I love to look in it and imagine that my little girl will be wearing all of these one day. After almost 10 years of dressing boys, you better believe that Leah will be one very nicely dressed little girl. (Of course my friend Kerry says that she’ll probably be a tomboy since she has 2 older “all boy” big brothers – I just put my hands over my ears and say “I can’t hear you!” when she says that!!)

Not even done yet with the shopping

We hope she is home to wear this next July 4th!
