Kaden felt much better today...which in turn made us all feel better. It was hard to watch him so unhappy. I know in all the pictures today he looks miserable, but I promise, he was much happier today (he's not a big fan of taking pictures. He usually either turns his head or throws his head back when he knows we're posing for a picture). We had somewhat of a free morning, so we just relaxed and played in the hotel room. We are learning more about his spunky personality. He is quite the eater, and when he gets hungry, or can't get the food fast enough, he gets grumpy... just like his daddy :). And we found out he can throw an outstanding tantrum!

He seems very intelligent and surprises us by what he picks up on and how quickly he seems to be learning (or maybe it's Jason and I that are learning). Either way, we are figuring each other out and seem to kind of have a flow going. Needless to say there are definite bumps in the road here and there...again, kind of like playing Frogger! We are still getting to know each other and he is still learning to trust us. But we'll get there.

He has already learned the iPad and swipes his finger on it and can play "Animal Band"...a children's nursery rhyme game. It just cracks us up...I can barely figure out my iPad! He says Mama, but it's not always in relation to me. He says it anytime he hands us anything. And he definitely picked up the word "more" already (his favorite word). He also learned to give High Five today.

In the afternoon we toured Zhan Yuan Garden. It was so beautiful and so peaceful. We learned that umbrellas and the lock and key were both invented in China by a carpenter, and that the Bonsai tree originates from China, not Japan...for those of you who enjoy random facts.

Tomorrow we get Kaden's passport and fly to Guangzhou where we will remain until the end of our trip to finish all the paperwork and necessary requirements before bringing him home. Kaden's first plane ride!

P.S. Kaden says Happy Birthday Grandpa Oliver! It's December 12th right now (at least in China).

We got a carrier...since he won't let us put him in the stroller (that little guy gets heavy!)
