We are bursting with pride and joy to announce our daughter Kathryn Grace.
 

As of June 2008, Kathryn was 25.2" tall and weighs 14.5 lbs. She enjoys listening to music, and turns her head when you say her name. Kathryn laughs aloud and is said to be a deep sleeper. She is fond of playing games. We are waiting for more of her file to be translated to know more about her routine.

I received the call while I was on the phone with my Mom. She had asked if there was any news on Katie. I told her that it was rumored that we would be included in this batch of referrals, but we were waiting to hear for certain from our agency. I also asked that she not let Chad know that I told her because we had agreed to not say anything to our Moms because we did not want to get their hopes up. She agreed to act surprised (don't worry about it now Mom), but I had to tell her. She specifically asked, and I can't lie. Well, there was a call beeping in. I told her I had to go because I thought the stove people were on the other line. I was completely floored when I heard the voice on the other end of the phone say, "Good Morning Terri. It's Julia from CHI. I have a referral for you." I just couldn't believe it! I think I said very eloquently, "Shut Up!" I just couldn't believe it! The words were so overwhelming and completely by surprise. We had waited for so long, and now I was getting "the call".

She was so nice and laughed, and informed me that she did have a referral for a little girl for us. She told me her birthday, and that she was very cute. Then she told me that we could come by after 2:00 to pick up her file and see her picture. I just couldn't believe it. We had a daughter!! I immediately tried to call Chad. AND COULDN'T GET A HOLD OF HIM!!! I was floored! I just got "the call". Shouldn't he be sitting there waiting for my call?? I tried Chad's cell and work line. Then I called my Mom back. Let her know the news. I was in a hurry to go pick Keegan up from school. I did get a hold of Chad while I was on the way to Keegan's school. When I got to the school I couldn't get to Keegan fast enough. He was eating lunch. I leaned down and told him that he had a sister. That the agency had called and told us! And we get to go get her picture in a couple hours!! He jumped out of his chair and gave me a big hug! I almost started crying! He wanted us to go get her right now! So cute!! I spent the rest of the day on the phone, and the computer!!

We feel so blessed!!
