We are Dan and JoAnne and we are so pleased to be traveling again to China to add a sweet daughter to our family. We were blessed 3 1/2 years ago to add our son Noah, 5 years old, from Inner Mongolia, and our son Evan, 3 years old, domestic adoption, to our family. Life is busy with two boys, but there's always room for one more. Therefore, we came to the decision last Spring to adopt once again and it was a natural decision to go back to China as we love this country and it's people.

We began this adoption process last March with all the paperwork it involves (lots and lots and lots, but well worth it :) ). On June 5th, we were given the referral of an adorable 12 month old little girl, Zhong Shan Ye (soon to be Kira Riley), with cleft lip (repaired) and palate (unrepaired) who we fell in love with immediately.

This blog will connect us with family and friends as we travel to bring Kira home. Please enjoy the journey with us. We pray that God will hold her in his arms and heart until we can hold her in ours.
