It's our
last day in China so we are busy taking in the last minute
sites and packing our bags. We are SO ready to head home,
but this day is bittersweet in that it's Kira's last day
in her homeland for awhile. We will bring her back when
she's older so she can experience what a great culture and
land she has come from. This part of China -- Guangdong
Province -- is especially beautiful and green, unlike some
of the other cities in China. Kira has "grown" so much in
the last week; she is walking on her own, learning a few
words ("up", bye-bye", "hello" -- all approximations
because of her cleft palate, but still pretty close),
knows patty cake, and can touch her "eyes/nose/ears/hair"
when you say them. She is truly a very happy, easy-going
little girl, who rarely gets upset. She still gives her
Daddy heck, but is coming around to liking him a little
bit better. I think our 13 hour flight home with help them
bond even more :).
We are thankful for many things from this trip: First of
all, our precious daughter as God has truly blessed us.
Also, the good friends we've made, the chance to
experience another culture, and the great friends and
family back home who have supported us during this trip.
We are taking the train to Hong Kong this afternoon, then
will fly home tomorrow. We'll be signing off until we're
home. Thank you all for following our journey and the nice
messages you've posted.

fun to play if she's not clinging onto mommy :)
