Our Family

OUR STORY In 1981, a little blonde girl was sitting next to a little blonde boy at her cousin’s 6th birthday party. Unaware to each other, they were to be united twenty-two years later in Holy Matrimony. Kevin and I were married June 28, 2003. We decided to adopt in May 2006. We had been unsuccessful at pregnancy, and being adopted myself, we felt adoption was a wonderful choice for us. We began our paperwork in June 2006, completed our homestudy, and drove to San Antonio to be fingerprinted. Finally, we were able to submit our dossier in January 2007. We have a LID of 2/12/07. David and Steven are very excited about having a little sister. In fact, the day before our wedding, Steven, who at the time was five, said to me, “Melissa, I want a little sister.” Well, his wish is coming true! We have a wonderful and supportive family. Lily will have many cousins, aunts, and uncles. Our parents are very supportive and excited to have a granddaughter. They have already offered their babysitting services! Kevin and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our family and friends for their love and support. We sure do love all of you!
