On December 13th Ann Marie was sitting in bed “surfing”
the China adoption sites that she frequents to stay on top
of all the latest news when she found the following an
article in the Our Chinese Daughter’s Foundation winter
newsletter about a baby girl in Ma’anshan who was being
sponsored by a family from New Jersey for surgery.
Then
next question was “Could this be Lily?” With the
wonder of the internet an email was sent. By the
next morning we found out that yes, Lily was one of
two cleft affected babies to have surgery was
sponsored by the family from New Jersey. On December
18 we found out that Lily has had surgery to repair
her lip and we are hoping her palate too. God is so
good. God surely is bringing us together as a family
and caring for Lily. What an awesome Christmas
miracle!
We will forever be grateful to the family in New
Jersey and Our Chinese Daughter’s Foundation.
We are also thrilled to have an updated picture of Lily
from before surgery and two post-surgery!
