About Linzhi
Waiting to Travel
We
received our LSC!!!
Today at 12:30pm CST, we got the call from Kim at
Great Wall China Adoption that Feng Xiaoli (Linzhi Rose
Xiaoli) is ours!
Xiao- means “small”
Li- means “pretty”
Linzhi’s birthday is estimated to be January 31st, 2005,
she was found on Valentine’s Day 2005 (Our Valentine) and
was brought to the Xu Zhou SWI where she still currently
lives.
According to the information we received she has an upper
limb deformity in her elbows that makes it impossible for
her to bend her arms. We know she as range of motion in
her shoulders and hands (praise God). We have a wonderful
and dedicated pediatrician that specializes in
international adoption, he along with his wife have 4
beautiful girls from China! We are confident with the help
of God and Dr. Oachs that Linzhi will get the medical
treatment she need to get those precious elbows to bend!
She has a lot of coloring and painting to do with her
sissy Rachel!
Here’s more information we learned about our little
dumpling…
● Weight: 26 lbs
● Height: 33 Inches (little peanut)
● Linzhi is able to pick up light objects.
● She likes to pass treats out to the babies and knows all
of them by name (little mama).
● Enjoys being with adults (Just like her brother Trevor).
● The older children love her and when they get special
treats they will give her one first (I cried when I read
that, sweet babies…ALL OF THEM!)
● She is afraid of strangers and will curl her lip when
nervous. :)
● SHE LOVES MUSIC (just like big sis Rachel)!!
12 choppers
● It states when there is a cartoon on that she likes, she
will not pay attention if you call her name…hmm…kind of
sounds like Aunt Onnie…
● She could not crawl because of her arms but learned how
to pull herself up to walk (that’s our girl).
● We are now patiently awaiting our TA (travel approval,
4-6 weeks). If all goes well, we should be on our way to
China at the end of November which means the Lord heard my
prayer to be home for Christmas! GOD IS SO GOOD!
We were blessed with several pictures that show Linzhi at
different ages… Enjoy!
The
Waiting Child
I saw you meet your child today
You kissed your baby joyfully
And as you walked away with him
I played pretend you'd chosen me.
I'm happy for the baby yet inside
I'm aching miserably
I want to plead as you go by,
"Does no one want a child of three?"
I saw you meet your child today
In love with him before you met
And as I watched you take him out
I knew it wasn't my turn yet.
I recognize you from last year!
I knew I'd seen your face before!
But you came for a second babe.
Does no one want a child of four?
I saw you meet your child today
But this time there was something new
A nurse came in and took MY hand
And then she gave my hand to you.
Can this be true? I'm almost five!
And there are infants here you see?
But then you kissed me and I knew
The child you chose this time was me.
