Our Family

CJ (Baba) CJ loves his family and is the type of guy that would do anything for anybody with no questions asked and with a generous heart. He's a wonderful step-father to Trevor and Father to Rachel and as a husband, well... I never believed in soul mates until I met him in the early fall of 2002. God brought us together and God is keeping us together. I always say CJ was meant to have daughters. He's more than OK with Rachel "dolling" him up, watching and playing with princesses and of course, the nail polish, lip gloss, purses, etc...You get my drift, right? Well, Linzhi is in for lots of love and fun with her Daddy! Tidbits about CJ... LOVES the Chicago Bears, Corvettes (had a brand new one and sold it so we could start the adoption), traveling, swimming and of course, a nice steak dinner! Amy (Mama) Well... it's a little hard to write about yourself in 3rd person so I won't (ha-ha). I simply enjoy my husband and children and cannot wait for my Linzhi Rose. I have always wanted to adopt...didn't know when or where but I knew God placed it in my heart at a very early age and because his timing is perfect we are now on our way to China! For me, there is nothing better than having lots of family and friends over for holiday and summer parties. We are so blessed that both of our families consider each other "extended" family so we all celebrate together. I feel my greatest joy has been marrying my best friend and being privileged to give birth to and mother Trevor and Rachel. I know without a doubt my heart has been prepared for this precious child in China and because of the grace of God I am being blessed again with a wonderful gift of being able to mother a child especially picked by God for us to love and honor as another member of our family. Tidbits about Amy... LOVES to shop, travel and lunch with her sisters...need I say more??? Our wonderful and handsome son Trevor is 14 years old and is on his way to becoming a famous writer and director. He is very creative and funny! Trevor really enjoys hanging out with friends at the mall or Barnes and Nobles and anything that has to do with Harry Potter! He is starting high school and is looking forward to joining the Drama club. Tidbits about Trevor... very funny and can imitate just about anyone, wonderful big brother and loves his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our beautiful daughter Rachel is almost 4 years old! She enjoys anything Disney princess, dress up, jewelry, cooking, coloring, swimming and getting ready for her little sister Linzhi! Rachel will be starting her second year of preschool and cannot wait to meet new friends! Rachel also enjoys spending time with her Grandma Vanessa, Grandpa John, Grandpa Willie and Grandma Sharon, Grandma Cathy, Grandpa Bill and Sage. Her most favorite aunts and uncles are...Seany, Onnie, Emily, Burgie, Eric and Kazumi... YEP! She loves them all! Tidbits about Rachel... she's hilarious, witty, and sensitive and is a very PICKY eater like her daddy! Tinkerbelle is the smallest member of the family…weighing in at a whopping 3 lbs (wet). Tink enjoys chewing up Rachel’s toys, swimming in the pool and taking a nap in the sun. We also have a wonderful extended family and church family. Without their love and support, this journey would not be possible.
