About Liza

We received a call on April 15, 2008 that would change our lives forever. On this date, we were matched with our new daughter and sister!

Here’s what we know about Liza:

Chinese Name
Xue Li Jiang

American Name
Elizabeth Xue Li Lindahl

Born
April 25, 2004

Finding place
Jiaobei Health Center

She now resides in the
Jiangmen City Social Welfare Institute

On September 23, 2006, Xue Li was found at the Jiaobei Health Center. She had a small cist on her neck that was swollen, so we believe her parents wanted her to have good treatment, but likely couldn’t afford to pay the fees for their daughter.

Xue Li was taken from the health center to the Jiangmen City SWI. She was found with two notes pinned to her pink outfit, one with her birth date and name. Later that year, on December 19th, she was admitted to the hospital and they removed the cist from her neck.

The information sent from that time indicated she was well-cared for by her parents, and had overall good nutrition and health. Her development was normal, and other than the cist, she was healthy.

She is described as about 3’ tall, 30 lbs, and in the 50th% of height compared to American kids. She’s shy, but likes to play with other children. The big bonus for the Lindahls is that she’s a deep sleeper!
