Ni Hao from Beijing!
We finally made it safely to Beijing at 3:00pm Saturday (China
time) after a very long day of travel. The flight from Chicago
to Beijing was difficult and very uncomfortable but we did the
best and survived. The Beijing Airport is brand new, very large
and very nice. Our flight attendant told us it is the largest in
the world, took four years to build and cost 8 billion US
dollars. We had to have our body temperature scanned and fill
out a Health Declaration Form due to the swine flu upon arrival.
They made it very simple and fast.
I have not been to sleep yet, I found it too difficult to sleep
on the flight. The sun was shining the whole time so it never
felt like nighttime and I was just not comfortable enough. John
managed a few hours of sleep and is currently zonked out on our
bed while we are waiting to meet our travel companions for
dinner. I will have no trouble sleeping tonight!
There is not much else to say but here are a few pictures from
our day.
| Boys-Mommy
and Daddy miss you. Today we flew over the North Pole on
the way to China. We also flew over Canada, Siberia and
the Artic Ocean. It was cool even though we couldn’t see
anything. Hope you are being good boys, we will talk to
you soon on Skype! |
