Today was another low key day. We started our day at the breakfast buffet. Lily again ate eggs (she prefers boiled and doesn’t eat the yolks) and they had fried prawn that she liked. We then went shopping and walking around the island. Today is very warm and humid, it feels just like home! We went to a few shops but the salespeople make it exhausting. They are so pushy. Today we bought a few souvenirs and then went to a park. Lily saw a bride and groom getting their pictures taken and she about fell all over herself to grab her camera and take a picture. She still loves taking pictures and takes a picture every time I do. At lunchtime our guide took us to McDonalds for lunch and it never tasted so good! It tasted just like in the states and we ate every bite. Lily told our guide she has been to McDonalds before. She ordered corn, spicy chicken, fries, a coke and a chocolate sundae. She didn’t eat much of it. This girl loves chocolate; she tried to get all the chocolate out of the sundae without eating much of the ice cream. She is starting to play with the other girls in our group. They were cute at lunch and found a way to play even though they can’t understand each other. She has really come to adore our Oklahoman friends. Every time we leave the room she goes straight to their door to get them to go with us. I hope she understand they are not part of our family and they will not be at our house :0)

Attaching is going well. She will hold hands and sit in our lap some. She mostly prefers me but will let John hold her hand some. She refuses hugs or any intimate affection. I know it will come in time. It does not bother me but John is having a harder time accepting it. I keep telling him to just keep doing what he is doing and it will be fine. He is so cute with her! I am glad I did so much reading about this before I came, it really does help understand. I think I heard her crying during the night, I am not sure if it was in her sleep or if she was awake. Of course this is normal but it is so hard to know that she is hurting and she would not let me comfort her, she is very reserved and hides her feelings.

Today we are going to get her picture taken for her passport and tonight we will be calling Sellers class on Skype, his teacher said they are so excited. I am not sure what is up for dinner but if I had to guess I would say traditional Chinese food!
