WE ARE HOME!!!
How sweet it is!!!
Well, we have been home for over a week with Miss Lucy
Rose and it seems as though she has always been with us.
She is doing great, in spite all the massive amount of
change in her short little life. The first week home (last
week) was no bueno. Our body clocks were so off. I didn't
know it was possible sleep that much! It was crazy how
tired we were. The first few days we would all four fall
asleep at 3 pm or so then wake up at 8:30 pm and the kids
would be up and ready to go! Thank God for Nina!!! She
saved me many a night, and she got stuck with Oliver
wanting Cheerios at 3:30 am. We made it through last week
and now here we are feeling much better. Back at my
computer and now I know why my shoulder hurts.
Lucy really is doing so great. We are trying to get on a
schedule and work around Oliver's camps and what not, but
she is a trooper. She is getting used to the dogs and
Lilly the Lab seems to be quite protective of her as they
are only 4 days apart. Henry, the Maltese is just glad
someone is dropping food again.
Lucy is wanting me to hold her a lot right now and that
makes sense, she's probably wondering where we are off to
next. I can't imagine what is going through her little
brain.
She really seems to like her room and her crib. She did
really well meeting family and friends. Doesn't seem to be
bothered by the car seat at all.
David and I are tired but happy and Oliver is learning
what gentle REALLY means, and is a great big brother. So
far so good.
We cannot thank everyone enough for all the kind words and
prayers for this amazing journey. We are truly blessed to
have so many fantastic, special people in our lives.
Much Love,
Wendy |
