Not flesh of my
flesh, nor bone of my bone
But still miraculously my own
Never forget for a single minute,
You didn’t grow under my heart- but in it.

Her
Beginnings
She was found at the Gate of the Civil Affairs Bureau of
Yanping District of Nanping City on October 9, 2007 at 2
months old with a milk bottle and a red note paper of her
DOB. During her admission exam she was found to have
Congenital Heart Disease, otherwise was generally healthy.
In the beginning she was not accustomed to life in the
orphanage, was very upset, cried noisily, did not want to
drink milk with a bottle. In about two weeks with the
excellent care of the caretakers she started to become
much quieter and slowly started became accustomed to life
in the orphanage.
Her measurements upon admission were:
Height: 19 inches
Weight: 9 lbs
Head: 35 cm
They named her the beautiful name of “Yinying” for the
hope that she would be beautiful and lovely.
At Referral they describe her as:
Introverted, timid & shy with quick reaction
Closest to caretakers
Walks holding on to rails
Can say 3-5 words, such as ‘aunt’ and ‘mom’
Like objects with voice
(We are guessing these are toys that talk)
Favorite Food: steamed eggs
(not sure how to make those)
Deep Sleeper (Yeah!)
Likes being companied and talked too (that is a good thing,
with all our family being our neighbors, there isn’t a
quiet moment to be had.)
At about 19 months of age she was:
Height: 29 inches
Weight: 19 lbs
Head: 46 cm
