Macy has been with us 9 and a half months. I can't believe
it. When we got her, we expected that she would probably
be a little behind for her age, since she was almost 2 and
had never heard English in her life, but we were wrong. We
actually think she is now going to be ahead for her age.
She is so smart. She is recognizing her colors. She can
count all by herself to ten. She can sing Jesus loves me,
the whole song by herself and her ABC's (but its in her
own words, but she has the tune down all the way to the
end), and when she is finished she says Yeah! and starts
clapping her hands.
She has had so many firsts. Her first Easter, My first
Mother's Day with her. She even got two new teeth. We went
to the lake this weekend and she even rode on the tube
pulled behind the boat, with mom of course and she loved
it. She loves the water. Everyday she begs to get into the
bathtub. She also loves the swimming pool. She is turning
into such a little girl. Everyday, she has to put on
make-up just like mama, and I can't leave anything out.
She knows everything I put on and where to put it. If I do
not put everything on, she will point to the area of her
face that I missed and insist that I put it on. (We just
pretend to put hers on, but she thinks she is really
getting it.) She has to have her toes polished and now
likes to have her hair fixed and doesn't fight the bows
anymore. I guess she figured out she was not going to win
that battle, so she decided to stop fighting the bows. She
also loves to sing and dance. In the car, she dominates
the radio. She will say mama and when I turn around, she
will shake her booty in her car seat. That is her sign for
dance. It is so funny. She has to have dance music on at
all times, if not, she will scream and it is very
stressful, because the radio does not always have the
right music on that she likes. I told Christopher that he
is going to have to download a CD of dance music just for
Macy or one day she is going to make me have a wreck from
her tantrums from not having the right music.
Carly and Jake got a Nintendo DS for Christmas and now,
Macy has fits to play them. She is always saying DS, DS.
The funny thing is, Darrian and I discovered that she
really knows how to play the games. What 2 year old knows
how to play video games?( Then again, now days, that may
be quite common.) Her fits were so bad, I had to get on
ebay last night and buy her one because we have a 12 hour
trip planned in 2 weeks to Virginia to see Darrian's
family so I had to prevent any fighting over them.
There is so much to write, so I will save the rest for
next month. I will try to do monthly updates until Aug. |

Happy Memorial Day

Macy's first egg hunt.
It didn't take long to figure out what to do.
